Health
– If your child has been in contact with a communicable disease the staff must be notified. A notice will be posted that a communicable disease has occurred in the center.
– Head lice will be handled in the same manner as above. If nits or adults are found in your child’s hair, you will be asked to remove your child and treatment must be administered before they are allowed to return to the center.
– If a child has a fever of 101.OF, diarrhea, undiagnosed skin rash, the parent will be called to pickup their child. The child will need to stay at home until the symptoms clear up or the child’s doctor authorizes a return to the center.
– Staff will only administer medication to a child if it has prescribed by a doctor, it is in the original container and the parent has filled out and signed a medication form (Medication cannot be left in the lockers).

– Fire drills are held in the center to familiarize the children and staff with evacuation procedures in the case of emergency.
Exit plans are posted in every room.
– Inside footwear is required as we do not want children outside without anything on their feet.Programming
– The center’s main goal is to have children participate in open-ended exploration with increasing independence and acknowledge their expanding abilities.
– We wish to inspire the children to wonder and experiment.
– To have each child built strong positive relationships with teachers and other children.
– For each child to acquire a sense of acceptance, self-worth, belonging, generosity and trust through the caring and consistent relationships.Food
– We are a peanut and nut-free center!
– A nutritious morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided by the center. Please do not send unnecessary snacks with your child.
– Babies will be fed appropriate food that is provided by the center. For example: cut up fruit, baby cookies or cheerios. All other food is to be provided by the parents.
– All baby food is jars, formula, or special milk is to be provided by the parents.
– Birthdays are recognized with a cake at the afternoon snack time on 15th of every month for all the birthdays that month.

Clothing
– Parent are asked to provide an extra set of clothes for each of their children.
– Diapers and wipes for babies and toddlers need to be provided and left at the center. If parents choose to use cloth diapers, staff will put them in a bag and parents will take them home every day to be washed.
Children are to come dressed for the weather as regular outside time is provided. Outside time will not be permitted if it is colder than -25C with a wind-chill.
Will labeled inside shoes or slippers are required to be warn at all times.
